Revised Reiki Principles
My morning routine has encompassed practising the Hatsurei-Ho meditation technique that I was taught during Reiki 1 and it incorporates using the 5 Reiki Principles. I recently discovered an article by Neal Harris who teaches Reiki and he revised the principles.
Using his revised words have really changed my meditation practice and has made it feel a whole lot more powerful. Most likely due to the fact that the negative word ‘not’ has been removed. Hypnotherapists and self-help gurus have always said that our subconscious mind does not recognise the word ‘not’, so It makes sense to turn the principles into ones that create more self-empowerment. The new wording makes me feel as though it is my choice to do these things or not. I’m more at ease and empowered to create the life I choose. In meditation, I recite each line in my head, then I repeat it out loud and feel the emotions I get from that release. I take a few deep slow breathes and exhale any remaining heavy feeling energy from my body and aura. I’m currently on Day 10 of using the revised principles but definitely feel a greater balance within myself. Why don’t you give it a try too and see how it works for you.
